Skating in DC is something that's always been
there for me... come through, check us out,
we'll be around.    -Andy Stone

Skateboarding has been a part of DC forever, as far as I can tell. The curbs at Pulaski aren't just rounded off, but completely gone, testament to years and years of being ground down.  Skaters like Scott Johnston, Sean Sheffey and Pepe Martinez have all called DC home at one time or another.

As of late, skating in DC has become a little more scarce.  Cops have begun cracking down as they never have before, and instead of just kicking you out, you're likely to arrested, and your board taken away at some spots.  Wherever you skate, keep an eye out for the police, they are around, and they will bust you.

This is not meant to be a complete report, it's just my record of what skating in DC has been for me for the last two years.  If you have something to add, I'd like to hear it.  Enjoy.
